Welcome to Prime Movements

Welcome to the home page of Prime Movements, an artist specialising in electronic music of all types and genres. Here you will find a selection of tracks by myself and other artists and some of my favourite mixes spanning the last 10-12 years in classic and new dance music. I specialise primarily in the oldskool breakbeat and house genres but also enjoy other styles such as progressive house and trance and deep, melodic ambience. Contrary to probable expectations I am not a dj, I tend to focus on the production side of things and simply the enjoyment of going out to a club with friends and appreciating the sound of my favourite djs e.g. Paul Oakenfold, Scott Bond, Paul Van Dyk, John ‘00’ Flemming and many other all time greats. I tend to stay away from the more commercial forms of dance music. Mass marketed pop dance rarely appeals to me although I can appreciate a good tune regardless of its vibe or genre. To me music is there to be enjoyed and if it serves that purpose then it doesn’t matter what style it is. However, those of you looking for those undiscovered gems in underground house, trance and oldskool should hopefully find something here for your aural pleasure. Feel free to browse this site and email me with your comments/feedback.
